Ground Blinds VS. Tree Blinds

There are many topics that are hotly debated in the bowhunting community, and most have no clear winner. If you are debating the merits of hunting with a tree stand or a ground blind, there might not be one answer. You'll need to consider the following points: 

• Concealment: Tree stands help you avoid detection by elevating you above your target. Deer and most other four-legged prey tend to be watching for ground-based predators, so they'll be less likely to notice hunters from above. While ground prey tend to be wary of ground blinds and other new structures, many hunters find success when they set their blinds up far in advance of their hunt to allow prey animals to get used to their presence. 

• Shot Opportunity: ground blinds come with designated windows that you can open and shut to increase your options. Opening too many windows can increase the likelihood of detection, but will give you more opportunities. Tree stands give more comprehensive opportunities, though you might have to trim back branches and limbs to give yourself clearer shots. 

• Mobility: Ground blinds are much easier to pick up and move when needed when compared to tree stands. Climbing and hang-on tree stands do offer more mobility, though they take time and effort to set up and get situated.
